this is the start of the what-if toji didn't die but DID disappear off the grid until june 2018. naturally he drops by the technical college while itadori is "dead", and he's looking for gojou satoru but finds megumi instead:

continuation of the AU with a very living and resurfaced fushiguro toji and (1) confused fushiguro megumi. maki brings toji's persisting presence to megumi's attention and he acts accordingly to combination gut, curiosity, and the inability to pretend he doesn't care.
